Timber Construction
We develop innovative, sustainable solutions to answer the housing need in our community.
In the mid-1980s, we pioneered a method of demolishing buildings while preserving their facades. This innovative approach led to our patented technique, published in 1998, which involves dismantling everything except the facade and party walls, creating a vacant site. This allows us to construct new buildings using total timber frame and volumetric construction. Timber construction not only maintains the historical integrity of the original facade but also offers sustainability, efficiency, and modern design flexibility.

Benefits of Timber Construction

01
Sustainability
Timber is a renewable resource that, when sourced responsibly, has a low environmental impact.

02
Energy Efficient
Our method reduces the carbon footprint to one-third of a new build equivalent. Timber has excellent insulating properties, which helps maintain indoor temperatures more effectively than concrete or steel.

03
Structural Versatility
Timber is strong, lightweight, and flexible, making it suitable for a variety of designs and construction types, from small homes to large commercial buildings. Its adaptability enables architects to create diverse and complex structures.

04
Faster Construction
Timber construction, particularly with prefabricated panels, often speeds up the building process compared to conventional methods. Reduced construction time minimizes labour costs and can lower the overall project timeline.
